"Anxiety- Something watching me"
Original Art
Hand burned by Jaydlyn Joan
Each piece comes with a signed certificate of authenticity
My second largest piece to date, featuring 10 Canadian animals species: all intricately burned among a forested scene of trees and wildflowers.
The idea for this piece came from the slab of wood itself, with unique spalting patterns on each side. I wanted to pay homage to the natural patterns and leave them as part of the concept, and so they became the trees on each side of the piece.
Riddled with Canadian animals, this piece is truly an adventure for the eyes with it's hidden suprises and complex detailing.
The perspective has been carefully managed so that it appears as though a realistic scene, something you may see looking through the trees in the forest.
The wolf and animals boast incredibly realistic looks, with the fur patterns having been texturized with great detail. Each animal is roughly representative of it's size in accordance to the other subjects within the piece, adding to the realistic accuracy of their depictions.
The plants create a bold contrast, appearing almost to mesh into eachother until you isolate them and notice the individual details given to each one.
This is an incredibly detailed piece, boldy noticeable from across the room, the eyes seeming to follow you in your path.
This piece will remain 'raw' without a finish applied to allow for future refurbishments if needed. These refurbishments are done if the piece experiences fading after a few years, and will be at no additional cost to the buyer.
The Deets:

Each piece is unique and a one of a kind original creation by Jaydlyn Joan. Works are highly detailed with a photo realistic look. Each hair is burned individually, and with close attention paid to the patterns and flow of the fur of each animal. Shading and highlighting is expertly applied, creating depth and contrast to each piece in accordance to the type and colour of wood used.
