Hand burned by Jaydlyn Joan
Each piece comes with a signed certificate of authenticity
This is a fun and completely unique one of a kind piece that plays into the natural bark on the sides of the wood slab. I always love the opportunity to incorporate the bark of the wood; it usually ends up being the edges to a treehole with some kind of critter peeking out. A raccoon felt like the perfect fit for this piece, they're slowly becoming one of my favourite subjects to burn with their cheeky expressions.
I'm excited to say this piece has been burned on reclaimed maple from right here in the Kootenay area. It's exciting to embrace the theme of local inspiration for my art and be able to express it on wood from the very source.
